The Five Element Theory is based on the idea that different forces combine in nature to create harmony and balance. The five elements are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. In Chinese medicine, the Five Element Theory is an approach to understand imbalances within the body. When elements become unbalanced, symptoms and diseases start to develop.

This is another Elemental Reset developed by the BodyIntuitive modality which combines the wisdom of Chinese medicine with the knowledge of Western physiology. It is particularly beneficial during the winter months when we spend more time indoors with quiet Yin activities and less time outdoors with active Yang activities.

Mentally focusing on our internal processes, this reset helps access the deep energy reserves held in the kidneys (in Chinese medicine, it’s the “Jing” or natal energy reserves with which we come into life). By focusing on the deepest energies in our body, we also revive our will for life.

Breathing deeply with mental focus, we also tap on three acupoints:
Heart 7 (left side) – for calm and emotional wellbeing
CV17 (center of chest) – to open heart energy
Kidney 9 (right side) – for detox of mind and body

With the Emotional Sweep of our head, inhaling from over our right shoulder to our left as we focus on any particular fear or overwhelm, we Release as we exhale from left to right. Repeat as often as necessary until the intensity of emotion is greatly reduced.

Finally, to integrate all of the above and broadcast the message of revitalization throughout the body, ACTIVATE: tapping on the acuzones on the head, the heart area, and the gut – above and below the navel.

This reset can be repeated daily (or up to three times a day!) to address:

  • Fatigue/exhaustion
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Overwhelm/fear/worry
  • Daily rhythms out of control
